Our Faith
The Coptic Orthodox Church, founded by Saint Mark in 43 A.D., is one of Christianity’s oldest denominations, renowned for its resilience amidst persecution. From early Roman oppression to trials under various regimes, including the Arab conquests and modern sectarian violence in Egypt, the Copts have steadfastly upheld their faith. Despite severe adversity, including imprisonment and martyrdom, they have preserved their traditions, language, and religious practices. The Coptic Orthodox Church continues to contribute significantly to cultural, educational, and humanitarian efforts. Their history is a testament to their enduring courage and unwavering commitment to their faith, remaining faithful to the teachings received from the Apostles. The Coptic Orthodox Faith: The Coptic Orthodox church believes in the Holy Trinity (The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit). Believes that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Human, and is the only Savior of the world. The Coptic Orthodox Church Statement of Faith is The Nicene Creed.
